Traditional Christmas wreath!

It's a family tradition to make these wonderful tasty treats for Christmas. The recipe dates back to my husband's grandmother... So it's been a family favorite for years.

I love how they have the beautiful Christmas colors green and red that looks so rich this time of year.
They are not only very yummy for those who love sweets but also are very addictive. You can't have just one!!!

Ok.Here is the recipe:

 wax paper
 2 - bags large Marshmallows (10 oz /283g)
 2 - sticks salted butter (8oz / 226g)
2-3 - tbl spoon Green food coloring (30ml-45ml)
 2 - tbl spoon vanilla extract (30ml)
 15 - cups Corn Flakes ( approx 420 g)
As need - cinnamon "red hots" candies for decoration

Step 1:
In a large pot melt marshmallows and butter over low flame. Stir occationally

 Step2:
add vanilla and food coloring, stir till well mixed.

 Step 3:
slowly add cornflakes, stir in well until completley colored with food coloring.

.
Step 4:
Over very low flame using spatula/spoon, drop cornflake mix onto wax paper into small pieces or circles.  Add cinnamon candies as you create the wreaths.

Step 5:
Clean-up using hot water.... enjoy the fruits of your labor

Christmas stocking

Hello,

Today I want to share with you my Christmas stocking that I made couple of  weeks ago.

There is no more fitting gift, for anyone you truly care about, than a stocking you have made yourself. It's not only a charming creation from your own hands ,but an invitation to participate joyfully in the great tradition of giving.

For fabric I used my husband's old sweatpants :)and some red felt fabric for the cuff; snow flakes stickers for decorations; white stringy for the outline.

Give a gift that is tailor-made to a loved one's!

Thanks for visiting my blog,

Have a great day :)
