Traditional Christmas wreath!

 
It's a family tradition to make these wonderful tasty treats for Christmas. The recipe dates back to my husband's grandmother... So it's been a family favorite for years. 
                         
I love how they have the beautiful Christmas colors green and red that looks so rich this time of year.
They are not only very yummy for those who love sweets but also are very addictive. You can't have just one!!!

Ok.Here is the recipe:


 wax paper
 2 - bags large Marshmallows (10 oz /283g)
 2 - sticks salted butter (8oz / 226g)
 2-3 - tbl spoon Green food coloring (30ml-45ml)
 2 - tbl spoon vanilla extract (30ml)
 15 - cups Corn Flakes ( approx 420 g)
 As need - cinnamon "red hots" candies for decoration




Step 1:
In a large pot melt marshmallows and butter over low flame. Stir occationally

 Step2:
add vanilla and food coloring, stir till well mixed.


 Step 3:
slowly add cornflakes, stir in well until completley colored with food coloring.

Step 4:
Over very low flame using spatula/spoon, drop cornflake mix onto wax paper into small pieces or circles.  Add cinnamon candies as you create the wreaths.



Step 5:
Clean-up using hot water.... enjoy the fruits of your labor
